NOLAN, Seán, (Cabinteely, Co. Dublin and formerly of Maynooth, ex-Department of Education) September 20, 2018. Peacefully, after a short illness. Beloved husband of the late Elizabeth (Betty), loving and cherished father to Philip, Paul, Bláthnaid and Sinéad and much loved grandfather to Rachel, Aoife, Daniel, Sam and Seán. He will be sadly missed by his children, grandchildren, daughter-in-law Leonie, son-in-law John, sisters-in-law Mary and Anna, brothers-in-law Gerald and Peter, nephews David, Robert and Jonathan, niece Alice, extended family, and very wide circle of friends, especially his former colleagues, fellow radio amateurs and members of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the exceptional staff of St Vincent’s Private Hospital for their tender care. Funeral Mass today (Saturday) at 10am in St. John the Baptist Church, Blackrock, celebrated by his very close friend Fr. Philip O’Driscoll, followed by burial in Shanganagh Cemetery.
