DEMPSTER (Glenageary, Co. Dublin and Belfast) - August 30, 2012 (peacefully) after a long illness at Oakfield Nursing Home, Courtown, Co. Wexford. John; beloved husband of the late Gae and loving father of Dermot, Damian, Brendan, Nuala and Deirdre. May his soul Rest In Peace. Sadly missed by his sons, daughters, daughters-in-law, son-in-law, grandchildren and brother-in-law Brian Cunningham. Funeral Mass at 12 noon tomorrow, Saturday in St. Kevin's Church, Tara Hill, Gorey, Co. Wexford. Burial on Monday, September 3 at 12 noon in the Old Priory Cemetery, Hollywood, Co. Down. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu, if desired, to the Alzheimers Society of Ireland c/o McAnulty's Funeral Directors, 35 Church Street, Warrenpoint, Co. Down BT34 3HN.

<p>McGurk-Henry Family Ties</p> <p>John Dempster, Ph.D, was a lovely man who had a sense of the importance of family and its history. </p> <p>With my family he is the last of my Grandmother, Cassie McGurk's line, but his spirit will always be with me.</p>

<p>Farewell to a great man</p> <p>My thoughts are with John's fantastic family at this time. I feel honoured to have been part of the team that cared for John.
