BYRNE, Gay (Broadcaster, late of RTE and Sandymount, formerly of Howth and Rialto) November 4, 2019. Peacefully at home in Howth. Beloved husband and best friend to his devoted Kathleen, loving father to Crona and Suzy, adored grandad to Cian, Sadhbh, Kate, Saoirse and Harry, father-in-law to Ronan and Philip and brother of Mary and the late Ray, Ernest and Al. Sadly missed by his family, relatives, neighbours, former work colleagues and a wide circle of friends. Departing on Friday (8 November) through Howth at 11.00am arriving for Requiem Mass at 12.00pm at St. Mary’s Pro-Cathedral, Marlborough Street, followed by a private burial in St. Fintan’s Cemetery, Sutton. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu to to the Irish Cancer Society, 45 Northumberland Road, Dublin 4 and/or St. Francis Hospice, Raheny, Dublin 5.
