CALLANAN, Fionnbar (Sandymount, Dublin 4), (Solicitor and photojournalist retired) December 10, 2021 (peacefully) at home. Loved and loving husband of the late Margaret (née Magan) and loving father of Frank, Claire, Jean, Paul, Richard and Sara, devoted grandfather of Nicholas, Niamh, Hannah, Peter, Julia, Alice and Sophie (“the magnificent seven”) and brother of Mona (Stanton) and the late Niall and Richard. He will be missed by these and by members of his extended family including son-in-law Rupert, daughters-in-law Sheila and Bridget, by Lyndon (Claire’s partner) and Mano (Jean’s partner), former son-in-law Paddy, his nephews, nieces, cousins and by a wide circle of friends from the worlds of law, sports and photojournalism. Removal today (Monday) morning to the Church of St. Mary, Star of the Sea, Sandymount, arriving at 10:50 am for Funeral Mass at 11:00 am which may be viewed on the following link https://www.mcnmedia.tv/camera/st-marys-star-of-the-sea-​san​dymount/ followed by cremation at the Victorian Chapel Mount Jerome at 1:00 pm. Fionnbar’s ashes will be buried at a later date with those of his wife in her father’s grave in Killashee, Co. Longford.
