BARKER, (née Walsh) Monica. (Clonskeagh, Dublin 14 and Redhills, Co Cavan) September 11, 2018, at St. Vincent’s University Hospital, after a short illness. Beloved wife of Ken, adored mother of Lorna, Colin and Susie and mother-in-law of Nicola. Much loved sister of Paddy, Mary, Margaret and the late Gussie. Monica will also be missed by her sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and her wide circle of friends and neighbours. Reposing at home this (Thursday) evening between 5pm and 7pm. Funeral Mass at 10am tomorrow (Friday) in The Church of the Miraculous Medal, Bird Avenue, Clonskeagh followed by burial at Shanganagh Cemetery.

Much loved and sadly missed by her husband Ken, children Lorna, Colin and Susie, sisters Mary and Margaret, brother Paddy and daughter-in-law Nicola, extended family and a wide circle of friends. Her family would like to express their sincere thanks for the kindness, support and sympathy extended to them at the time of Monica's death. We are so thankful to all our relatives, friends and neighbours who called to our home, attended her funeral, and those who sent messages, Mass cards and floral tributes. A special thanks to the medical teams at St. Vincent's Private Hospital, St. Vincent's University Hospital, Fr. Damien O'Reilly and the Chaplaincy Team at S.V.U.H. who were a wonderful support to us. Thanks also to Fr. Joe Mullan of Clonskeagh Parish and all those who assisted in Monica's funeral Mass. As it's impossible to thank you all individually, please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our heartfelt appreciation. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass has been offered for your intentions.</p>
