LYNCH, Sr. Maura (Medical Missionaries of Mary, St. Joseph's Hospital, Kitovu, Masaka, Uganda) December 9, 2017, (unexpectedly), in Nsambya Hospital, Kampala, Uganda, predeceased by her parents, Patrick and Jane and by her sister, Kathleen and brothers Brendan, Aidan and Ciaran; sadly missed by her sister, Breda and her brothers Fr. Finbarr S.J. Kevin and Enda and all her extended family, her friends and her MMM community. May she rest in peace. Funeral Mass and burial in Masaka, Uganda tomorrow (Wednesday). A Requiem Mass will be held on the same day at 12 noon in the Convent of the Medical Missionaries of Mary, Beechgrove, Drogheda, Co. Louth.

Maura was a lifelong friend and a wonderful and compassionat​e doctor, loved by all her patients, and the people of Kitovu. She restored life to hundreds of women with VVF who had been abandoned by their families. Maura we miss you. Anne
