AHERNE, (The Crescent, Farranlea Road and formerly of Tivoli Cork): On September 19, 2018, peacefully surrounded by her family at Cork University Hospital, MIDA (née Gurnell), dearly loved wife of the late Gerald, loving mother of John, Geraldine (Prendeville), Declan and Fergus and sister of the late Fr. Anthony. Sadly missed by her loving family, son-in-law Michael, daughters-in-law Jean, Jo and Elaine, grandchildren; Cian, Finbar, Kate, Jack, Meadhbh, Rory, Geoff, Roisín, Clodagh and Sean, Cian’s wife Noelle, great-grandchildren; Fionn and Ruby, dearest friend Aine, relatives and many friends. Requiem Mass at 11.00am on today (Saturday). Funeral afterwards to Carrigrohanabeg Cemetery. Family flowers only please, donations, if desired, to St. Vincent de Paul.
