d'ALTON, Michael Maurice Austin, Chevalier de la Légion d'honneur and seafarer (Killiney, Co Dublin). Born April 1921. Died May 4, 2016. Husband of the late Mabel; will be deeply missed by his children Mark and Sonda, his sister-in-law Kitty and brother-in-law Jimmy. Funeral service Tuesday (May 10) at 11.30am in Holy Trinity Church, Killiney and afterwards to Mount Jerome Crematorium. Deep thanks to his wonderful carers who helped make it possible for him to continue living in the home that was so dear to him. Family flowers only. Donations to the RNLI if desired.
