MURPHY, Joe, (Cockleshell Road, The Kerries, Tralee, Co. Kerry) - On the First Anniversary of Joe's death (April 2, 2018), his wife Mary, children Suzanne, Gavan, Leonie and Ross, sons-in-law Jarlath and Paul, daughter-in-law Christy, grandchildren, sisters Maire, Brid (Sr. Cecelia) and Ita, sister and brother-in-law, nieces and nephews, would like to express our heartfelt thanks to all who sympathised with us when we lost our beloved Joe. We appreciate the sympathies offered by all those who attended his wake at home, removal, and funeral Mass. As a former member and President of Tralee Golf Club and the Festival of Kerry committee, and a former member of Tralee Rugby Club and other organisations and following a long career in Insurance, the support of his former colleagues and friends was greatly appreciated, the stories, many and varied, were enjoyed immensely. Our thanks to those who travelled, corresponded, offered support, raised a glass, shared memories of a life very well lived - Joe would have loved it all. We thank in particular, Gleasures Funeral Home, Fr. Bernard Healy, Aidan O'Carroll, Miriam Murphy and Oracle, the Guards of Honour, and the many family, friends and neighbours who helped create a fitting memorial of Joe's life. As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement and the sacrifice of the Mass, as an expression of our deepest gratitude. Joe is much missed and is remembered every day with love.
