REA, David (Milltown, Dublin 6), November 3, 2016 (peacefully) after a long illness bravely borne, surrounded by his loving family in the gentle care of the staff of Our Lady's Hospice, Harold's Cross. Deeply missed by his loving wife Finola, children Jack and Lauren, parents Tom and Catherine, sisters Nicola and Suzanne, parents-in-law John and Miriam, brothers-in-law Tomás, Kieran and Raymond, nieces, nephews, relatives and his many friends. Rest in peace. Reposing on Monday afternoon at Our Lady's Hospice, Harold's Cross from 2.00pm until 4.00pm, prior to removal to the Church of the Sacred Heart, Donnybrook arriving at 5.00pm. Funeral Mass on Tuesday morning at 11.00 am followed by cremation at Mount Jerome, Harold's Cross. Family flowers only please. Donations if desired to Our Lady's Hospice.
REA, David (Milltown, Dublin 6) - On the First Anniversary of David's death, his wife Finola, son Jack and daughter Lauren, parents Tom and Catherine, sisters Nicola and Suzanne, in-laws and the extended family would like to express their gratitude to everyone who sympathised and supported us on our sad loss. Thank you to all those who attended David's Reposing and Requiem Mass, those who travelled long distances, sent Mass and sympathy cards, flowers and letters. Particular thanks to Monsignor Lorcan O'Brien, Monsignor Peter Briscoe, Fr. Brendan Nolan, Fr. James Murphy, Fr. James Doyle; Fr. Brendan Comerford S.J., Fr. Noel Barber S.J. and Fr. Joe Brennan S.J., Gonzaga College; Fr. Pat McGlynn C.S.Sp. St Michael's College, for their kindness and comforting support.We would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staffs of the Mater Private Hospital and Our Lady's Hospice, Harold's Cross who cared for David with such diligence and kindness during his illness. Thank you to all the children, staffs and parents of St. Michael's College, Ballsbridge and Alexandra College, Milltown. Thank you to the staff of Fanagans Funeral Home, Aungier Street. A special word of thanks to our neighbours and friends, Finola's colleagues at AIB and, in particular, David's former colleagues at ING, for their continued support. David's Anniversary Mass will take place at 6.00pm on Saturday, November 4 in the Church of St's. Columbanus and Gall, Milltown, Dublin 6. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.May he Rest in Peace.
