LYDON, James (Jimmy) (The Croft, Taylors Hill, Galway) (October 26, 2016, First Anniversary) - In his 97th year, Nives O Sullivan and Phyllis Mac Namara, together with their families wish to extend their appreciation of the kindness shown to them on the occasion of their father's death. The volume of correspondence was such that we have been unable to respond to each person individually. We wish to offer our sincere thanks to all who sympathised and supported us at this time. We are greatly indebted to Mary Folan for her loving care of our father over many years. Our thanks to the Jesuit Fathers with whom he found spiritual enrichment and friendship. To those who officiated at his funeral, Fr. Senan Furlong OSB., the Augustinian and Jesuit Fathers and to the choir and organist of the Augustinian Church to whom we extend our sincere thanks. We were deeply honoured by the attendance of President Michael D. Higgins. Our thanks to the staff of UCHG, whose care made such a difference during his brief illness. To his many friends who shared his joie de vivre and wide range of interests, to his sporting friends and his gardening friends, to those who laughed with him, and those who worked with him, to all of you our thanks. He enriched the lives of many. He is greatly missed by his daughters, son-in-law Johnny, grandchildren, Sally Ann, James and Roger and by his eight great grandchildren.May he rest in peace.
