FINN (Deirdre) - The family of the late Deirdre Finn (Killiney) who died on November 18, 2009 would like to thank all those who sympathised with them and supported them in their recent sad bereavement. To those who sent Mass cards, flowers and letters and messages of condolence, we extend our sincere appreciation. A special mention must be made of the family friends, former RTE colleagues, members of Woodbrook Golf Club and Belvedere College Union all of whom attended in such numbers. The presence of so many long standing friends and neighbours from Killiney Heath who were all more than ready to assist in any way they could, was very comforting at a difficult time for us. The devoted care of Patsy Walsh during Deirdre's long illness was also very much in our minds as was the unfailing friendship and support to the very end of dear neighbour Marian. The attention given to Deirdre over the years by Dr. Donal Costigan and Dr. James Canavan also earned our deep gratitude, as did the level of care provided in more recent times by St. Joseph's Centre, Crinken Lane, Shankill and St. Colmcille's Hospital, Loughlinstown. The care and courtesy of Fr. Alex Conlon P.P. in organising and conducting the various funeral Services made them especially meaningful for us. Bishop Eamonn Walsh and Fr. Gerry Byrne's words at the removal Service, put many things in perspective for us, and the presence of Fr. Dermot McCarthy and Fr. Joe Brennan S.J. in the concelebrating of the funeral Mass was both consoling and reassuring. To all of you our heartfelt thanks and a Mass will be offered for all your intentions. Deirdre's Months Mind Mass will take place on Wednesday, December 30th at 11.00 o'clock in SS Alphonsus and Columba Church, Killiney.
