Ian

Ian and I were in same class during primary school in the cbs Dungarvan.on Saturdays I would play with him at his home at landsend. He was courageous and would speak up for himself if he felt that he was wronged in class.his father Paul I employed my father as ceo at his brewery and when he died age38 ian's father paid for his funeral expenses. My father left a family of 4 children i wasthe eldest age 10. Paul I was a kind fair and generous employer. I have never forgotten that act of kindness and I visit ian's parents grave when in Dungarvan. I attended his mother' s funeral.I have wondered what became of ian as we parted company when we went to high school I have passed Antioch several times on my vacations to sacramento. Pity i didn't know he lived in Antioch. I hope life was good to him.in my younger days the brewery was part of the fabric of our lives and we were the better for this. My family have never forgotten the Power family.!

Tom Dalton

daltontom@eircom.net
