GAFFNEY, Fr. David, S.J. Wednesday, May 6, 2020, peacefully, in the loving care of the staff of Cherryfield Lodge Nursing Home and St. Vincent’s Hospital. Greatly missed by his sister Eileen (Kennedy) and brother Gerard, his sister-in-law Kathleen and brother-in -law Jim, his nieces, nephews, grandnieces and greandnephews, cousins, and a wide circle of family and friends in Thomastown, Co Kilkenny, and by his Jesuit community at Milltown Park. Due to the current government guidelines regarding public gatherings, a private Funeral will take place for his immediate family. A memorial Mass in celebration of Fr. David’s life will take place at a later date. Those who would have liked to attend the funeral, but due to current restrictions cannot, may leave a personal message of condolence online.
