HUGHES, Thomas Jones (Tom) Professor Emeritus of Geography, UCD. (Monkstown, Co. Dublin and formerly of Gwynedd, Wales), died December 13, 2011 - Tom's wife Mary and family wish to thank sincerely all who sympathised with us during our recent bereavement. We are very grateful to all who attended the funeral including friends, neighbours, colleagues and former students at UCD. We would like to thank Rev. Chris Kennedy, organist David Lee, members of York Road Presbyterian Church and also the members of the Dublin Welsh Male Voice Choir whose contribution so enhanced the Service. We thank all who kindly sent us letters, cards of condolence and Mass Cards. Our deepest gratitude goes to Ms. Jane Butler and her staff at Mount Tabor Nursing Home, our G.P. Dr. Donald Brookes and visiting nurses from Blackrock Hospice for their unfailing care, support and kindness to Tom throughout his illness. We acknowledge with gratitude, donations to Mount Tabor and the Blackrock Hospice. Finally, our sincere thanks to Carnegie Funeral Directors for their courteous efficiency and kind support.
