LOFTUS Sean (Dublin Bay Rockall), (Lord Mayor of Dublin 1995-96) - July 10, 2010 (peacefully) in the Mater Hospital; loved by his wife Úna, his children Muireann, Ruairí and Fiona, grandchildren Jessica, Claire, Aoibhín and Ciara. predeceased by his grandson, Cian; deeply regretted by his daughter-in-law, Suzanne Byrne, sons-in-law Des Gallagher and John Rowland; his sisters Maureen Walsh, Bríd Kennedy and Eileen McVeigh; brothers-in-law Paddy and Ultan; sister-in-law Mary Thornbury, and all his nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. R.I.P. Funeral today (Tuesday) after 11 o'c Mass in St. Gabriel's Church, Dollymount to St. Fintan's Cemetery, Sutton. Family flowers only please, donations if desired to St Francis Hospice Raheny."Ní bhéidh ár leithéidí ann arís"

<p>Condolences from nearfm</p> <p>Sean was a great servant to the people of Ireland and especially to the northside of Dublin. He is an example to all of us in his selfless determination for a better environment and a better city. His dedication to his city and to Dublin Bay were exemplary. In a time of selfish politicians he was a shining light. He was also a great friend to nearfm. He be sorely missed.
