O'ROURKE Seán Canon, P.E. (Moate, Co. Westmeath, late of Mohill, Co. Leitrim, retired Parish Priest of Fuithre and Tisaran, (Ferbane)) - died July 17, 2010. Fr. Seán's relatives would like to thank all those who sympathised with them on their recent bereavement. We are most grateful to everyone who attended the removal from Retreat Nursing Home, Athlone, the Funeral Mass at St. Mary's Church, Ferbane and interment in High Street Cemetery and to those who sent Mass cards, floral tributes and letters of sympathy. We thank most sincerely, Bishop Colm O'Reilly and all the priests who concelebrated the Funeral Mass. Special thanks also, to Fr. Frankie Murray and Fr. Tom Cox for their help with all the arrangements and the liturgy. We extend our appreciation also to Msgr Noonan, who led the prayers at the removal and to Fr. Seán's long time friend Fr. O'Beirne who received the remains. The family was deeply touched by the tributes to Fr. Seán, the beautiful ceremonies, and by the refreshments provided. We thank everyone involved, the parishioners; the choir, organist; Grennan Funeral Undertakers and the gravediggers. Many thanks to the priests, sisters, parishioners, all who kept vigil overnight, neighbours and all those who supported and visited with him since his retirement. A special word of thanks to all the staff at the Retreat Nursing Home; who cared so well for Fr. Seán. In particular we wish to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Mulryan family for all their kindness and support to him in recent years. As it is impossible to thank everybody individually, we hope this acknowledgement will be accepted as a token of our deep gratitude. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass has been offered in your intentions. The Month's Mind Mass will be held in St. Mary's Church, Ferbane at 11 o'c tomorrow (Sunday) August 15, 2010 and all are most welcome. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis.
