SEXTON, (Cork) July 18, 2016 (peacefully) in the excellent care of the staff of Mercy University Hospital, Michael C., beloved husband of Leonore, Western Road and late Emeritus Professor U.C.C., dear father of Angela-Mary, Tom, Leo and Michael. Sadly missed by his wife and family, grandchildren Conor, Tomás, Moira and Aisling, brother Jerry, daughters-in-law Kathleen and Margaret, extended family, relatives and friends. May he Rest in Peace. Reposing at Fordes Funeral Home South Gate Bridge, tomorrow (Wednesday) from 5.00pm until removal at 6.30pm to Sacred Heart Church Western Road. Funeral on Thursday after 11.00am Requiem Mass to St. Finbarr's Cemetery.
SEXTON Michael (Western Road, Cork) - On the First Anniversary of his passing (July 18, 2016), his family wish to acknowledge the many expression of sympathy and kindness shown to us following our sad loss. We offer our heartfelt thanks to the many friends, neighbours and family and Michael's former colleagues from U.C.C. and beyond who attended the House, Removal and Funeral. We thank those who travelled long distances and for the many cards, texts, emails, letters of condolence and flowers. Sincere thanks to the staff of the M.U.H., Fordes Funeral Home and also to his brothers-in-law Fr. B. McNamara and Fr. W. McNamara and the priests at the Sacred Heart Church for the service.May he rest in peace.
