DOWSE - April 27, 2010, suddenly at his home, "The Cottage", Rossharbour, Kesh, Co Fermanagh. Reverend John Walton (retired). Beloved husband of the late Patricia and dear father of Brian and Elizabeth. Funeral Service in Pettigo Methodist Church tomorrow, Friday at 2.00 pm followed by interment in Muckross Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu if desired to Donegal Town Refuge Support Group c/o FG McFarland & Sons, Funeral Directors, Kesh, Co Fermanagh. Friends welcome at his late home. Very deeply regretted by his sorrowing son, daughter and family circle.

<p>His practical preaching</p> <p>I always found his sermons meaningful.</p> <p>A sentence in his sermon in March 2005 ( hope the year is correct) just before the war in Iraq started -</p> <p>"History will judge if this war is justified or not"</p> <p>I had the feeling at the time that this was going to be another Viet Nam.</p>
