HANLON (Rathfarnham and Longford) - The family of the late Father Joseph (Joe) offer a sincere thank you to all the people who sympathised with them in their recent sad bereavement. To his past and present parishioners, a wide circle of personal and family friends, and relatives, who were so kind to him during his years in the priesthood we say thank you. We extend a special word of thanks to his housekeeper Chris, his friend and GP, Dr. Moira Slevin along with her colleagues at the Sólás Medical Centre, Rathfarnham, the Parish Pastoral Council, the staff at the parish centre, the parish choirs, and the staff and pupils of the local schools who paid their respects during the repose, at the Removal and the Requiem Mass. We would also like to thank Archbishop Martin and priests of the Dublin diocese and elsewhere for their presence over the three days and especially Fathers Martin Noone, Tony O'Shaughnessy and Dan O'Connor for their individual attention to the funeral arrangements. The large numbers of expressions of sympathy from parishioners, personal and family friends and relatives through their letters, visits, phone calls, Mass Cards, attendances at the Removal, Funeral Mass and the burial in Longford, have been of great support and consolation to us at this time. It will be impossible to thank each person individually and we hope that in return this notice will be acceptable as our expression of gratitude for all the kindness shown. The holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.
