KENNEDY (Mount Merrion, Co. Dublin) (First Anniversary, September 16, 2016). Johns wife and children, Julie, John, Rob and Grace, his parents John and Kate, his sister Clodagh and family wish to acknowledge the many expressions of sympathy received at Johns funeral and many beautiful cards and letters received since. The large number of friends, family, neighbours and colleagues brought great comfort to all of us and was a wonderful tribute to John. We thank all those who attended and assisted in the funeral especially Fr. Tom Nash (C.S.Sp.), Fr. Cormac Ó Brolcháin (C.S.Sp.), Fr. Denis Gavin (C.S.Sp.) and Fr. Peter Rodgers (OFM.Cap.), (who also married John and Julie fifteen years earlier), to Fr. Tony Coote and the Bereavement team in Mount Merrion Parish. And we especially thank the children and staff of Blackrock College, Willow Park Junior School and Mount Anville Primary School. Your support has been felt by all the family. Sincere thanks to the medical teams in Burkitts Unit and ICU in St. James's Hospital and Dr. Connaughton's Haematology team in St. Vincent's Hospital. We lovingly remember John today as his ashes are flown to the place he loved most. His First Anniversary Mass will take place on Saturday, October 7, in the Church of St Thérèse, Mount Merrion at 6.00pm.
