My sympathies to all of you.

Daire & I studied Archaeology together and I remember her great support and laughter with fondness. Some of us used to study together in an attempt to cope with the sheer volume of work and I owe her a debt of grattitude in helping me to achieve my BA all those years ago. She had a generosity of spirit and ability to motivate others which served us well in our mutual support. Daire you made sure studying was great fun.

Thank you Daire, may you rest in peace and the fond memories of you support your friends and loved ones always.

Sending you deepest sympathies

To Daire's family and friends,

I saw Daire's obituary in the Irish Times and was saddened to hear of her passing. We were in the same class in Iona, and both went to Holy Faith afterwards. One of my fond memories of Daire was when we had to waltz together as Cinderalla's parents in the school drill display back in the 70's(I was the man!) May she rest in peace,

Fionnuala Murphy

To Rona

Dear Rona,

I knew Daire as a wonderfully vibrant, warm and witty young person during our shared childhoods living on Collins Avenue. I cannot believe she is no longer and I cannot imagine how awful her loss must be to you and all her close family and friends. My thoughts are with you.

From Catherine Ostinelli (née Kelly)

Deepest Sympathies

Dear Ed,

I've only just found out the sad news. May Daire rest easy. It's hard not to think back on those Dublin excavations and life in Stoneybatter without thinking of Daire. All the best to you and your families.

Nora Bermingham

To the husband and family of Daire

I have just heard about Daire and am so saddened. i thought of her a couple of days ago and lamented that we had lost contact, and thought to rectify it... She was the funniest, kindest, warmest of people. One of a kind.

Anne Niland
