GILLAN (née Courtney) (D'Alton Drive, Salthill, Galway ) - October 5, 2012, (peacefully), at the Galway Hospice, Pauline, beloved wife of the late Seán and much loved mother; very sadly missed by her daughters and sons - Anne, Patricia and husband Terry, Margaret and partner Jo, Rosemary and partner Joe, Mary-Avril and husband Brian, John and partner Nina, Mark, Dominic and wife Joan, grandchildren Emer, Ronan, Caroline, Siobhán, Tom, Kevin, Laura-May and Hugo. Reposing at home today (Monday) from 5 o'clock with removal at 6 o'clock to the Church of Christ the King, Salthill. Funeral after 12 noon Requiem Mass tomorrow (Tuesday) to Rahoon Cemetery.Requiem en Pace

<p>Pauline Gillan</p> <p>Pauline Gillan courageously nurtured and guarded an enclave of creativity and imagination in the Art Room in Taylor's Hill School during the 1970s.She used energy and encouragement to bring out pupils' capacities, always urging "Girls, go make something beautiful!" That many did is a tribute to the contribution she made to many lives.</p>
