The passing of a good man

I'm a better person for having known Ray. We were on different continents and only met face-to-face on our all too few short visits, but he was always there with a comment or suggestion or a friendly note, right until the very end. He was a good man who has left a mark on our small corner of the aviation industry. He will be missed.

Farewell, Ray

Dear Méav and family,

Please accept my greatest condolences on Ray's passing. I was devastated to learn you have lost him and feel grief for you all, especially Sheila having lost both daughter and son a day apart. I was so lucky to have been an airline customer of Ray's from 1996 and feel privileged to have been in friendly contact since then. He was (quite rightly) universally popular in our leasing business, for which you all must be so proud: I know that he was of you! An honour to have shared time with Ray, but regret that it could have not been extended further. Best wishes in these difficult times, Steve Jarvis
