Our thoughts are with you all

Since Saturday my head has been full of how much the Redmans have meant to me down the years. Evie was a huge part of that. She was a second mother to me, at times more important than my own. I know her strength of character will help you through the next few weeks because it is in each and every one of you.

I'm sorry I can't be with you, if only to pay respects to a truly great lady. She, who always seemed so indomitable and indestructible, will be hugely missed by all the many people whose lives she touched. I like to think she has had a grand old reunion with your dad and is winding up to tee-off with Norah on some Heavenly golf course. Maybe she can get my dad to caddy for her as he used to do for his own father back in the age of the dinosaur.

Take care of each other. I'll be in touch soon.

Hugs all round

Clo and family
