Our condolences

She was a brilliant businesswoman, a lively individual and a dear and generous friend. Our deepest condolences go out to her husband, Harry, who always stood by her and was her strength when she needed him. We remember her fondly. Gillian’s presence will be sorely missed.

Christos and Mary Mertzanis would like to acknowledge the death and remember the life of Gillian Bowler, a true friend and colleague.

We started our business hand-in-hand. Thanks to Gillian and her husband, Harry, we managed to build something out of nothing. When we started out Crete was a relatively unknown holiday destination for Irish tourists . Within a few years the region had become a success story with an increasing number of charter flights each year. Without Gillian and her incredible vision this would never have happened.
