A special word of thanks to Mercury Middle East for their invaluable assistance and support in Bahrain, especially Eamonn Phillips, Pearse Cole, Heber McMahon Ciara Magennis and Hussain Shaeib. In addition, we would like to thank the representatives of the Irish and Thai Consulates particularly Tom Brady, Dept, of Foreign Affairs, Mr Tony Scannell and Mr Alan Cummins, also the Thai community in Bahrain, especially Latt and Gordan. A special thanks to Ryan Mc Keag of Gulf Air for all his help and assistance on our behalf. We would also like to thank Fr Dennis Nulty, Fr Joe McEvoy of Moynalty and Townley funeral directors who were of enormous help to the family. Finally, we would like to express heartfelt appreciation to all those who sympathised with us at such a sad time; our relatives, neighbours and friends; those who sent Mass Cards and floral tributes and the many people who attended the removal and funeral, in particular the pupils, teachers and girl guides from Moynalty National School and Derek's overseas colleagues.
