SHORTEN (née Glascott) (Kilworth, Co. Cork and Carrick-on-Suir, Co. Tipperary. late of Durrow and Glendalough.) - April 25, 2014 (peacefully) in the loving care of the Matron and staff at St. Patrick's Community Hospital, Fermoy. Annie, in her 103rd year. Widow of the late William Shorten, mother-in-law of the late Liam Sarsfield, also remembering Annette's partner the late Flann Ó Riain. Deeply regretted by her family John Shorten, (Wexford), Annette McHugh (Dublin), Sheila Hegarty, (Kilworth), Mary Sarsfield, (Dublin), daughter-in-law Carol (née Hackett), son-in-law Sean Hegarty, eleven grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, sister Kathleen McDonnell (Carrick-on-Suir), sister-in-law Josephine Glascott, (Carrick-on-Suir), nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Requiescat in Pace. Reposing at Ronayne's Funeral Home Lower Patrick Street, Fermoy this (Saturday) evening form 6.30.pm followed by removal at 8.30.pm to St. Martin's Church Kilworth. Funeral Mass tomorrow (Sunday) at 11.30.am burial afterwards in Kilcrumper new cemetery.
