HEDIGAN, David (Sandycove, Co. Dublin), March 30, 2015. As we approach the First Anniversary of David's death, his wife Susan, and his siblings, (Carol, Geraldine, John, Michael, Peter, Elizabeth, Helen, Rosemary and Sandra), together with Susan's brother, Kevin, his wife Mary, their daughter, David's god-daughter, Klara and the extended family would like to thank our many friends and colleagues for their support and empathy at the time of immediate loss, and continuing. We thank the consultants and dedicated cancer care team in St. Vincent's Private Hospital and David's G.P., Dr. Louis Lavelle, Dalkey. We thank Father Billy Farrell and Father Denis Kennedy of David's and Susan's Parish - St. Joseph's Glasthule; Father Eugene McCarthy of Holy Cross Monastery, Belfast, David's friend from their mutual Paris days; Father Michael Collins of St. Mary's Parish, Haddington Road, family friend; all of whom con-celebrated David's funeral Mass and who ensured a warm and meaningful funeral service. We thank Ronan Murray, the resident organist of St. Joseph's Church, Glasthule and soloist Jeremy Morgan for the music and singing, chosen from David's favourite sacred music. We acknowledge with thanks and appreciation the remembrances paid to David from his former colleagues and business associates over many years and sectors; from Belvedere College; from the Royal Dublin Golf Club and from the Royal St George Yacht Club; from the St. Joseph's Parish Glasthule Remembrance Service in November last and in many tributes from his UCD days, notably his friends in the L&H; and from all his friends in Northern Ireland, particularly the Ards Peninsula, North Down, where he was their most regular tourist. We thank our Funeral Directors, Quinn's of Glasthule, particularly Martin Byrne, for his professionalism, kindness and empathy. As a family, we acknowledge and thank all of you who sent cards, letters and memories from near and far. The continuing support which we receive from our friends, colleagues and neighbours is immeasurable. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass has been offered for your intentions.
