GARVEY Capt Cathal (Retd), (late of Booterstown), September 7, 2016. On the First Anniversary of Cathal's death, his wife Ita and family would like to express their gratitude to all those who sympathised and supported us at this sad time. Many thanks to everyone who attended his reposing at Greystones Nursing Home, his funeral Mass and to those who travelled long distances to be with us. We thank those who sent messages, cards and letters. Thanks also to family friends, neighbours, work colleagues who kept in touch and helped us in so many ways. Míle buíochas ó chroí le pobal Scoil Chualann agus Emmet Bhré as an tacaíocht ar fad a tugadh dúinn. A very special thanks to Fr. Gerry Young, Greystones Parish for celebrating Cathal's funeral Mass, to Fr. Eddie Ó Gríofa for praying with us at Cathal's reposing and concelebrating Mass and to Mairéad Déiseach for her beautiful singing. We especially thank members of Dublin City Fire Brigade, Chief Fire Officer Patrick Fleming and Assistant Chief Fire Officer Dennis Keeley who liaised with the family, members of Wicklow and Greystones Fire Brigade who assisted Dublin Fire Brigade in providing a guard of honour and the piper who accompanied Cathal to his final resting place. Thanks to Greystones Fire Brigade for providing refreshments for the many firemen and officers who travelled to the funeral. We are grateful to members of An Garda Síochána who attended the funeral and those who managed traffic on the day. Thank you to the staff of Greystones Nursing Home for caring for Cathal. Thank you to Stuart Collier from Collier Funeral Directors, Bray for his professionalism and co-ordinating the funeral so graciously. As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually we hope you will accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our heartfelt gratitude. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass has been offered for your intentions.Ní críoch ach athfhás.
