Out sympathy

Michael, Carolyn, Hugh and John , I was so sad to learn about your father's passing. While I did not meet him I knew much about him from my father who held him in great esteem during their time together in recent years at Oaklee Housing Trust . Please convey our sympathy to your Mother. May all the lovely memories flood back into your hearts to help you all through this difficult time. Mary Harte, Peter Nolan and extended family

Your father Des
Dear Michael and Carolyn, My condolences to you and the rest of your family on the passing of your father. I remember Des well from my early days in RTE. While I didn't know him well I know that this love of journalism and writing lives on in both of you. I can think of no finer tribute to any father or parent than to want to follow in this professional footsteps. In that regard he was a towering figure in influence as well as stature. May he rest in peace. Eugene
