A long time ago

My name is Maerton Davis. I am Bertha's Cohen's brother. I knew Gillian about 45/50 years ago. I left Ireland in 1978 for Israel and lost touch with most of the Maccabi/Israeli dancing/Habonim and Scout crowds.

I remember Gillian, She had nice longish light brown hair, a wonderful smile and was always in a good mood and helped to brighten up our Jewish gang. I am so sorry to hear that she is now not with us. I would have loved to meet her again in July at "The Gathering". May you all be comforted by our thoughts and good wishes and our happy memories.

Wishing long life to all the family
Derek, to you, your sons and all Gillian' s family. I was so very sorry to hear of her passing. So tragic. I remember a beautiful girl with the most amazing smile, super figure and that fabulous hair! So softly spoken and just so lovely. So very sad to realise she is no longer with us. My thoughts are with you all at this time. Fondly, Gail Bloom Tsylor, Manchester
