A True Psychiatrist

I met Dr. Corry on a number of ocasions and I gained tremendous insight into the nature of depression and anxiety from him. Prescribed medications were literally killing me and thanks to him and the insights he gave me I have never taken another anti-depressant and never will.

I met a man of great genius. A compassionate, caring inspiring man. He was bringing his daughter Amelia to Argentina when I last met him. He spoke with such incredible love for her and for all his children.

His wisdon will always be with us through his books. One can only imagine how many thousands of lives he has saved and how many more he has rescued from the psychiatric "system".

Dr. Corry, may you find perfect peace and eternal rest and the rewards that you so richly deserve for your work on this earth with the broken, the despairing, the sad and the desolate. People you made whole again. People like me.

May God bless you and all who love you. Special thoughts for Amelia at this heartbreaking time.

Bernadette Brady

40 minutes with dr corry changed my life

I walked into a room in total despair ,emotionally exhausted sat donm and spent the most important and exciting time of my life with this man.he told me 2 sessions and ill be fine.i went out and made 5 more appointments with him.i phoned my wife and told her i met the most amazing man and she should meet him.she was so excited for me because she knew i had met the man who truly knew what the answers were and had the passion..sadly i was only to have one more session before his illness.i have downloaded his photo and its on my office desk top and when i look at it i smile and think of some of the great lines he came out with my time with him.always in my thoughts
sean

Namaste Michael Corry

Walk on in peace. I did not know you well, but I knew you were a great person, and of the great work you did, combining spirituality and mental health, giving hope to many, and standing up for the human rights of patients in the field. Sincere condolences to Aine, family and friends.

Daire Shaw

I met you once

Michael,I dragged myself up those Eden Park steps in deep despair. You,like a mad sorcerer named the un-namable for the first time, the only person to do so.I skipped down those steps, laughing out loud,to the surprise of passers by.I have been priviledged to share your words with others in similar dark places in the last 10 years. So,your compassion is alive and will continue to heal people, radiating out from people you have touched deeply during your lifetime.Liz Murray

Ar dheis Dé go raibh a h-anam dilis

The missing Beatle...

Deepest sympathy to the friends and family of Dr Corry, I had the pleasure of meeting him on several occasions in Clane. He was a wonderful man and spoke highly of his family and his time spent working in Liverpool. I am both saddened and shocked at the passing of such a wonderful man. He taught me somethings in the time I spent with him, ..'become what you are BECAUSE of your past not DESPITE it..' along with happiness is an inside job.

He was someone who you could sit with for hours talking about anything and everything, last I spoke to him he was taking Amelia to Spain to spend quailty time with her, he gave me a big hug and said he'd see me next time. He was off sick so I never made it to my next appointment and sadly as these things tend to happen I never got round to organising another one.

He will be deeply missed. He changed my life and for that I will be eternally grateful.

Goodnight Dr Corry. Reast in Peace x
