Our Unique Dad

Wow, I have just been reading all the lovely messages people have posted about my Dad. Thank you. It is so nice to hear how he has helped and touched the lives of so many people. I must say, I am very proud of him, of all that he stood for and achieved, not just in the medical professional but also as a man.

He was always a “cool and unique” Dad, very different. He was a real character and fun to hang out with, telling us all his great stories and sharing his wisdom. I had the privilege of coming to know so many of his amazing and interesting friends who I loved to meet and listen to.

Dad was always interested in what my brother, sister and I were doing, in our whole life journey. He encouraged us to try everything, from sailing, skiing, horse-riding, yoga, meditation, art, languages and of course travelling and seeing the world. He was our confidant. We could talk to him easily about so many things. He was my advisor and a great one at that. I will miss him so much.

Your absense has gone through me like thread through a needle.
Everything I do, is stitched with its color..(W.S. Merwin)

We will always love you Dad and know you will continue to guide us.

Louise, Amelia & Julian. xxx

A memorable man, a good friend. Many memories.

Mick was in Liverpool when Pat and I were there in 1978.It was only then that I got to know him properly. We had 'known' him for many years, having graduated together in 1974. I did not attend my graduation either, but didn't get around to burning my certificate. I always wished I had had the guts to do it, like Mick!

He used to babysit for us when my first two kids were small, and occasionally we all went to the 'Philharmonic', usually the pub, but once or twice the theatre, in Liverpool.

I loved him and so did the kids.

I will be aware that you are no longer in the world Mick. I will not see you again, but I will not forget you.

Love

Sheena

You handed me a magic wand

You truely were a magician. In despair I met with you and 50 mins later left your wonderful company a new and happier person. Thank you for finding words inside me and thank you for helping me heal.

Rest in peace and thank you for the peace you gave to me those years ago. I won't forget you.

Love, Catherine

In memory of an inspirational man

Michael, you will be sadly missed. Your life's work made a difference to the hearts and minds of so many. Rest in the knowing that your often freely given wisdom, and compassionate work that you become so well known for, will continue through those very people whom you touched so deeply. May you rest within the source of all. Stuart G.
