COLGAN, Gerard (Gerry) - Greystones, Co Wicklow - Died January 19, 2012 - On this the first anniversary of Gerry's passing, his wife Emily and his family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to all of those who sympathised with them on their great loss. To everyone who sent Mass cards and letters of sympathy, to those who made donations to Stewart's Hospital, to those who called personally and who attended the removal and funeral Mass, especially to those who travelled long distances. A special word of thanks to our friends, neighbours and colleagues whose support during Gerry's illness and since his passing has meant so much to us all. We would especially like to thank the staff at Leopardstown Park Hospital for their care and kindness to Gerry during his time there and to the staff on St Bridget's Ward at St Vincent's University Hospital for caring for Gerry in his final days. Thank you to O'Donovan's Funeral Home in Greystones for their professionalism and sensitivity and to the priests at the parish of The Holy Rosary in Greystones for officiating at Gerry's funeral. A special word of thanks to the Captain and past Captains of Greystones Golf Club for their guard of honour at the church which was a wonderful tribute to Gerry. We miss Gerry every day but are thankful to have had him in our lives for so many years. We hope that this acknowledgement will serve as a token of our appreciation. A Mass has been offered for your intentions.Rest in peace Gerry.
