GALLAGHER Imelda Mary Walsh (born in Curry, Co. Sligo) - December 27, 2010, Imelda passed into eternal glory at her home in Palos Hills, IL surrounded in prayer by her family. Beloved wife of Hugh; cherished mother of Grace M. (Robert) Bowen, Emmet H., Imelda M., Carmel M. (Shelby) Buchly; beloved daughter of the late Thomas Walsh and Margaret Brennan; proud grandmother "Mummitz" of Rebecca Marie, Killian Lee and Declan Hugh; dear sister of Marion (the late Tony) Carozzi, Vincent (Dorothy), Geraldine (John) Doherty and Carmel (Brian) Tickler. Preceded in death by Matt, Louis, Sr. Angela, Fr. Oliver and Desmond; fond aunt of many nieces and nephews. Attended Mercy Convent (Tuam), Carysfort College (Dublin), U.C.D., B.A. and M.A. Loyola University , Chicago, IL, USA. A memorial service will be held on April 6, 2011 at 12:00 noon in St. James' Church, Charlestown, Co. Mayo. The cremated remains will be laid to rest next to her beloved father in Rhue Cemetery in Curry.
