MARTIN, (née Nolan) Irene, (Cabinteely, Dublin) February 24, 2010; in the gentle care of the staff of St. Vincent's Private Hospital; beloved wife of Arthur and dearest mother of daughters Janice and Lindsay and son Philip; deeply regretted by her brother Richard and sister Joyce, her loving and delightful grandchildren, Aisling, Thomas, Livia and Luke, of whom she was most proud, her cousins, nieces and nephews, by her sons and daughter-in-law, Desmond, Ralf and Margaret and their families. She will be sorely missed by her myriad of friends, constant from childhood, from her years of employment, her golf and bridge activities, her neighbours and others whose loving support, encouragement and care helped her and her family to deal with her bravely fought and prolonged battle with one of the most terrible diseases, Multiple Myeloma (MM). Reposing in Fanagans Funeral Home, Lr. Main Street Dundrum today (Friday) from 1 o'clock to 4 o'clock prior to her Removal to the Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Succour, Foxrock arriving at 5 o'clock Funeral tomorrow (Saturday) after 10 o'clock Mass to Shanganagh Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations if desired to The Irish Cancer Society.
