ASKEW John (Portmarnock) - April 1, 2011 (peacefully) in the very loving and professional care of the nurses and staff at the Bon Secours Hospital, after a brief illness, bravely borne. Beloved husband of Anne, perfect and caring father of Caroline and Michelle; sadly missed by his brother Graham, adored grandad to Oliver and Sophie and father-in-Law to Padhraig and Dermott. All devastated and heartbroken by his death; inspired by his life, positivity and wisdom, forever grateful for his love. Reposing at Stafford's Funeral Home, Portmarnock, today (Monday) from 2 o'c to 5 o'c, funeral Mass will be celebrated tomorrow (Tuesday) at 11 o'c in St. Anne's Church, Portmarnock, followed by burial at Fingal Cemetery. Family Flowers only, donations if desired to the Irish Cancer Society.
ASKEW John (Irish Ferries) (Portmarnock, Co. Dublin) - On the First Anniversary of John's death Anne, Caroline and Michelle would like to thank all those who sympathised with them on their very sad loss. We would like to thank all those who supported us through John's short illness and passing. We would also like to express our heartfelt appreciation to those who attended the funeral Mass and burial, to those who sent Mass cards and letters and those who made donations to the Irish Cancer Society. Our sincere thanks to the staff of Beaumont Hospital and the Bons Secours who afforded John such dignity, professionalism, tender care and compassion during his last hours. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.
