Fragment of a thought

Dear Joanne and Family

It was a deeply moving service today. It was such a privilege to be there and to share, albeit in a very small way. Your deep sense of love and loss, expressed so beautifully, particularly by you Joanne. When I listened to you I was reminded of a fragment, a great short story writer, Raymond Carver wrote to his beloved Tess and I feel it is what Wes might have said about his time with you...

"And did you get what you wanted from this life, even so? I did. And what did you want?
To call myself beloved, to feel myself beloved on the earth"

You are in my thoughts all the time 'Roomy', with love and and deepest sympathies

Love Megan X X
