DALY, Sean (Boyle, Co. Roscommon, died August 27, 2008) - On the anniversary of his death his wife Geraldine, daughters Carol, Sarah Jane, Jessica, parents Monica and Paddy, sisters Geraldine (Garvin), Madge , brothers, Padraig, Seamus and the extended family wish to thank most sincerely all who supported them at this sad time. We wish to thank all who called personally, sent Mass and Novena cards, and attended the removal, funeral Mass and cremation. We would also like to sincerely thank all those who donated to cancer research. Sincere thanks to Fr. Gerry Hanley P.P., Fr. Leonard Taylor C.C. and all religious who were so supportive. We can never adequately express our heartfelt thanks to Sean's personal friend and Co. Founder of The Boyle Ladies G.A.A. football Club; Fr. Derek Gormley who was a tremendous source of support to Sean and this family during his illness and who, by his kind words and occasional deviation from his homily during funeral Mass, succeeded in bringing a little bit of light to what was a very dark day for all. The family will be forever grateful to Dr. Bernard Maguire for his tremendous attention to Sean at all times during his illness and his immediate response to our request for help at the time of his death. Thank you to Malachy Beirne, Undertaker for his efficiency and help. Thank you to all the guards of honour from the various sporting clubs and the Boyle Garda under the supervision of Supt. Tom Cummins for their very efficient handling of the car parking Etc. at this time. We know that Sean derived a huge amount of support and encouragement from what he would consider "His own" Ladies Football Team and Committee and we want to especially thank them and their parents for Masses, get well cards and support at all Times during his illness and since. Sincere thanks also to The Boyle Folk Group and The Abbey College Group, directed by Liz Brennan for their music and song all through the removal and funeral Mass. Regretfully it will be impossible for us to make direct contact with all who were so supportive at this time but we will do our best and we can assure you that all your support is and always will be very much appreciated. Masses will be offered for your intentions Sean's First Anniversary Mass will be celebrated in St. Joseph's Church, Boyle at 9.30 am on Sunday, August 30.
