Mc MAHON Comdt (Retd) Shane (John) Defence Forces and EUFOR Bosnia (July 22 2013) On this the First Anniversary, Olive, sons Rory and Dara and daughter Aisling wish to thank those of you who sympathised with us, supported and comforted us at the time of and in the days following Shane's death. We extend our appreciation to the Chief of Staff of the Defence Forces, Lt Gen Conor O Boyle, Assistant Chief of Staff Brig Gen Colm Campbell, Lt Gen (Retd) Jim Sreenan, members of the 47th Cadet Class and to Shane's many colleagues and friends. We thank Colonel Brian O'Keeffe for his outstanding support and his thoughtful tribute to Shane. Lt Col Ollie Barbour (PSS) for his support. Members of the Defence Forces who provided military honours and Bearer Party at the funeral. The Mess President, and staff of McKee Officers' Mess.
