Great advice

Dear McGings,

I just had to write and tell you how a comment that your Mum made many years ago on a skiing holiday stayed with me and how (I hope!) it has stood me in good stead.

Her words to me were: "Whatever you do Katie, marry a man with good DIY skills..." - I'm sure that was no reflection on you Jimmy!

Well that came back to me recently when I got engaged to Rudi who thankfully is an enthusiastic DIY-er so I just wanted to send my thanks for that great advice.

Your Mum was a very special person and I will always remember her with a smile.

God Bless

Katie (Green, soon to be Steiness)

Scaffolding
Masons, when they start upon a building, Are careful to test out the scaffolding: Make sure that planks won't slip at busy points, Secure all ladders, tighten bolted joints. And yet all this comes down when the job's done, Showing off walls sure and solid stone. So, if my dearest Ann,there sometimes seem to be Old bridges breaking between you and me, Never fear. We may let the scaffolds fall, Confident that we have built our wall. Gentle spirited witty clever Ann slan agus beannacht.
