FARRAGHER, Bridget, (née Calt), (Cashel Park, Castlerea, Co. Roscommon and formerly of Gardenfield House, Hollymount Co. Mayo) September 18, 2016, (peacefully), in her 96th year in the loving care of her family and the the staff and residents of Aras Mathair Phoil, Castlerea. Pre-deceased by her husband Murtagh and sons Frank and T.J., Bridget will be sadly missed by her sons Murt, Kilkenny, Norman and Gerald (Naas) and daughters Deirdre O'Bryne (Kill), Valerie Callaghan (Castlerea) and Barbara Chambers (Castleknock), grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. May she Rest in Peace. Reposing at Gaynor's Funeral Home, Castlrea this (Monday) evening from 5 o'c with removal at 7.30 to St. Patrick's Church, Castlerea. Mass of the Resurrection at 11 o'c tomorrow (Tuesday). Funeral afterwards to Roundfort Cemetery, Hollympount, Co. Mayo.

Bridie was my great aunt. I stayed with her in 1994 on my visit to Ireland and she brought me across the fields to the ruins of the old Calt home, where my grandfather had been born. It was wonderful to meet Bridie. My condolences.
