TUNNEY Hugh - The family of the late Hugh Tunney, late of The Gresham Hotel and Classiebawn Castle, Mullaghmore, Co. Sligo wish to express their sincere thanks to Rev. Fr. Gerry Byrne, Chaplain, Blackrock Clinic, Bishop Eamon Walsh, Archbishops House, Dr. Mark Laher, the doctors, nursing care and staff of Blackrock Clinic. To Dr. Adil Samad, Dr. Paiz and the staff of Sligo General Hospital, Dr. Raymond and Mrs. Nuala Kerr, Bayview Medical Centre, Bundoran for their lifelong friendship and care to Hugh, Dr. Fergus Brady, his physician in Dublin. To all those great friends who came to say goodbye before the removal of his remains to his hometown of Trillick. To a very efficient Mr. Mark Hunter of T. Hunter & Sons, Undertakers who took care of Hugh's final safe journey home. To all who travelled long distances and to all who attended the Church Service on the eve of the funeral and the next day's Requiem Mass for the repose of his Soul. His cousin Fr. Gerry Fearn, Prior Dominican Priory, Newry who gave a rousing sermon with aplomb. Cannon John McKenna P.P., St. McCartan's Church, Trillick, Rev. Des O'Donnell Ballyshannon, who as a boy shared the same class and who attended him in the Blackrock Clinic, Fr. Vincent Gallogley, Ballyshannon, ex Irish College, Louvain, Belgium, the energetic 99 year old Rev. Fr. Ambrose O'Gorman, Shannagh Nursing Home, Belleek and Rev. Noel Regan, Church of Ireland Clogher. To the many friendships Hugh enjoyed so much a very big thank you. To the staff at the Lough Erne Hotel, Enniskillen, we were deeply moved by all your kind gestures of goodwill and especially to the Tempo Band who played at the graveside and to the soloist Mrs. Patricia Rogers who added so much to the Mass and who made it very personal for all of us. The Month's Mind Mass will be said in St. McCartan's Church in Trillick on 31st July 2011 at 11am. The friendship of the McEniff family, which extends back to Hugh's childhood in Bundoran is acknowledged. Thanks in particular to Cllr. Sean McEniff, Canon Raymond Munster P.P. and all his friends who have arranged a Special Mass in the Star of the Sea Church in Bundoran on the 29th July 2011 at 10 a.m. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass is being offered as a token of appreciation.
