DIAMOND (née Haughney) (Knocklyon, Rathfarnham and late of Leighlinbridge) - October 23, 2014, Sheila Julia, (peacefully if unexpectedly), in her 95th year, at home; she will be sadly missed by Noel (Ruth), Tricia (Pat), Keiron (Geraldine) and Colum, by her grandsons Scott (Davina) and Karl and by her great-granddaughters Zoë and Ilianna, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. She has gone to join her late husband Thomas Vincent, Liam her son and Lauren her great-granddaughter. A wonderful and exceptional Lady missed by family around the world, neighbours and friends of all ages who were a great support to her. Rest in Peace. Funeral Mass tomorrow (Saturday) morning at 10am in St. Colmcille's Church, Knocklyon followed by Removal to St. Muredach's Cathedral, Ballina, Co. Mayo arriving at 6pm. Another funeral Mass will be held at 11am on Sunday (October 26) in the Cathedral followed by burial in Leigue Cemetery, Ballina, Co. Mayo. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, to Macular Degeneration (Donation boxes at Church).

DIAMOND (née Haughney) Sheila Julia, died October 23, 2014 - As we approach the First Anniversary of Mum's death, Noel (Ruth), Tricia (Pat), Keiron (Geraldine), Colum, Scott, Karl and our extended family continue to reflect on the support and kindness extended to us at the time of her death and since. To Frs, Sean MacGiollanach, O Carm., Eanna O Hobain, O Carm., John Gilligan and Noel Redmond, CSSP, thank you for making Mum's funeral Mass in Dublin, a true celebration of her life. The participation of so many friends and neighbours (across the generations) was a real tribute to her, thank you all. To Fr. Tom Doherty, St. Muredach's Cathedral, Ballina, Co. Mayo, thank you. To all who attended her Mass in Dublin and Mayo, her burial, sent Mass cards, letters, cards, messages of sympathy and donated to M.D., thank you. To Robert, Fanagans Undertakers, your patience, kindness and support will long be remembered. To her neighbours, in Beverley, your friendship, kindness, concern and support during her life and after, will stay with us forever. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for all. First Anniversary Mass: Saturday, October 24, 2015, at 7.00 p.m. St. Colmcille's Church, Knocklyon.
