LEAHY Ultan (Cork - Dublin and Late of Citi Group) May 5, 2014. Beloved son of Loreto and Jack, much loved brother of Fionnuala, Grainne and Seán, brother-in-law, uncle. Sadly missed today and always in our thoughts. We would like to thank everyone who over the past year has helped us with their letters, cards, visits and messages of support. LEAHY Ultan (Apsley Court, Killumney, Co. Cork) - Cherished memories of Ultan whose Second Anniversary occurs today, May 5. So deeply loved and so sadly missed.Lovingly remembered by Mum and Dad, relatives and a large circle of friends and colleagues. "When he shall die,
take him and cut him out
in little stars,
And he will make the face
of heaven so fine,
That all the world will
be in love with the night
And pay no worship
to the garish sun."

LEAHY - Ultan, Apsley Court, Killumney,

Tenth Anniversary, May 5, 2014 -

Time does not bring relief,

Who told us time would ease our pain?

We miss him in the weeping of the rain,

We want him at the shrinking of the tide.

Missed every day!

Mum, family, relatives and friends.

My deepest sympathies

To the family and loved ones of Ultan Leahy,

I wish to offer you my deepest condolences on the leaving of your dear son and brother, Ultan. I will remember him as one of the finest Irishman and indeed man that I ever knew. He liked a good laugh. He always had a smile even when one knew the load he was carrying could be heavy. Over the near three years I worked with him he was always there to give some friendly advice or a kudos. A class act. No doubt. That was Ultan. We were in the mentor program together and it is really funny that I am only realizing it now, as the memories of our interactions race through my head, that Ultan all along was my mentor. And knowing Ultan, I bet he knew that all along but never mentioned it. For the impact Ultan's guidance and counsel has had in my life I must humbly thank you. I pray the Lord protects you from the storm of grief you find yourselves in. I can only hope that one day having time passed and with the help of faith and relations you can once again feel the joy and swell with immense pride for the son and man you raised. With Sympathies for your loss, Patrick Cunniff

Condolences

I worked with Ultan for over 5 years , I left Citi a year ago and when I received the call I was in shock. Ultan was always there for me , he was one of the nicest, hard working people I have ever met. I am glad I got to see him in person a few times when he came to NYC. My heart is breaking for his family. He was one of the good guys and will be sorely missed.

My 'nephew' Ultan, you will be missed

To the Leahy family, so very sorry for your loss. I had the good fortune to become friends with Ultan. Although we had never met in person until much later, we developed a very close friendship, to the point where I called him my nephew and he called me his uncle. I consider myself lucky to have known him and will miss him tremendously. Ultan was one of the very few people I knew who would bend over backwards to help someone out. I can't count how many times he helped me out of a bind. The world has lost a truly gifted and kind-hearted person and is the worse for it.
