Mac SHERRY, Louis J. - Dad's First Anniversary is January 5 and Mary, Alva and Paul, together with Dad's sister Helen, would like to thank all those who cared for Dad and were so kind to him in the last year of his life. We thank Fr. Tom, Fr Arthur, Fr Conor and the community of St Brigid's Cabinteely, the staff of Johnstown Medical Centre, particularly Dr Fergus Mason, St Michael's Hospital, St Vincent's Private Hospital, and the Blackrock Hospice. Thank you to Eimear and all the residents of Carraig Na Greine in Dalkey for welcoming Dad for his short sojourn in Sue Ryder. A special thank you to Kim, Aileen and the carers at Bluebird who were so patient and supportive of Dad since Mum died. We thank all those who came to Dad's funeral, his great friends, wonderful neighbours, those who knew him from Lansdowne, the George, Milltown and Donaghmore, as well as those who wrote lovely letters. Clare and Sorcha - your music was beautiful. Thank you to Mary's staff for their support and to Gus Nichols for his guidance. Dad and Mum's ashes were finally buried together in Shanganagh in the summer - may they rest in peace.
