HICKEY, Caroline

HICKEY (née Dwyer), Caroline, aged 35, (Greystones, Co. Wicklow, and Ballsbridge, Dublin 4) - March 25, 2013, (peacefully) at home with her husband, family and friends. Daughter of the late Fidelma Fitzpatrick-Dwyer, loving wife and best friend of Rónán Hickey, beloved daughter of Dermod Dwyer and Helen O'Sullivan-Dwyer, remembered with love by her brother Denis and all her loving relatives, her wonderful friends, her second family the Hickeys, her colleagues and students at St. Brigid's GNS, her kind neighbours, and all those whose lives were brightened by Caroline. With thanks and huge appreciation to the doctors, nurses and care assistants from St. Vincent's Hospital, Caroline's GPs, HSE Palliative Care team, and care assistants from the Irish Cancer Society. Caroline will rest today (Tuesday) in Cedars, South Place, Greystones, Co. Wicklow, with prayers at 4.30pm and 7.30pm. Removal tomorrow (Wednesday) morning at 10.30am to the Church of the Holy Rosary, Greystones, arriving for funeral Mass to celebrate Caroline's life at 11am. Afterwards Caroline will be laid to rest in Redford Cemetery, Greystones. No flowers by request, donations to Cancer Clinical Research Trust (http://ccrt.ie/index.php/donate) and the Irish Cancer Society (www.cancer.ie); donations box will also be available at the Church.She brought light to all our lives.
