DRUMM, Dr. John E. (Died July 23, 2010) - On the First Anniversary of John's death, his wife, children, family and extended family wish to acknowledge and thank those who sympathised with them on the sad and sudden death of a wonderful and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, colleague and friend. We would like to thank all those who attended the house, rosary, removal, funeral Mass and burial, those who travelled long distances to be with us, and those who sent Mass cards, flowers and letters of sympathy; also to those who helped in many ways; to our neighbours, friends and family for their love and support. Sincere thanks to Fr. Frank McDonnell (P.P. St. Joseph's Church); to the sacristan, to the wonderful musicians and singers, who made John's funeral Mass so special. A very special thank you to our dear friend, Dr. Patricia Crowley, whose kind words helped to make the Mass a celebration of John's life. We are so grateful for her unwavering friendship, support and loyalty to John and to us all. Sincere appreciation to the staff of the Blackrock Clinic; Dr. David Mulcahy, Mr. Vincent Young, Dr. Fidelma Kirby, Dr. Ahmed and Dr. Grealy; and to Staff Nurses Cora Maher and Sharon Finn in the intensive care unit who showed such care and attention to John and to our family. A special acknowledgement to John's former colleagues and friends in the Coombe Hospital where he spent many happy years. We would like to thank his colleagues on the Board of Governors, Master Dr. Chris Fitzpatrick, Director of Nursing Ms. Patricia Hughes, Doctors, Midwives and staff who have been so supportive. We greatly appreciate the wonderful Mass of Thanksgiving for John's life and work which was celebrated in the hospital in September, and the book of condolences which the staff organised in his memory. Thank you to the staff of Massey's Funeral Home, Terenure, for their professionalism and sensitivity. To all we wish to extend our heartfelt gratitude and appreciation. Mass will be offered for your intentions.
