TIERNEY (Mounttown, Dun Laoghaire, Co. Dublin), Dr. Herbert (Bertie) - October 7, 2011 (peacefully), at St Michael's Hospital, dearly beloved husband of Teresa (née Randall) and devoted father of Niamh (deceased), Paul, Frances, Declan, Oona, Mary, Teresa and Siobhan; sadly missed by his loving family, brothers Gerald and Philip, sister Eileen, sister-in-law Rosemary, sons-in-law Bob, Vincent, Richard, Kevin and Declan, grandsons James, Stephen, Philip, Thomas and Christopher, great-grandson Leo and his many nieces, nephews and extended family and a wide circle of friends. Reposing at Carnegies Funeral Home, 19 The Crescent, Monkstown with removal tomorrow (Wednesday) morning to St Patrick's Church, Monkstown arriving for funeral Mass at 12 noon followed by burial in Shanganagh Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations if desired to Peter McVerry Trust.Rest in peace.

<p>Dr H A J Tierney</p> <p>I knew Bertie as a Doctor from the time he first came to practice in Bath until the time of his retirement. He was a remarkable Doctor, always there when needed, supportive in times of need and an lovely family man. His friends in Bath are sorry hear this sad news and send all the family their condolences.
